2025-09-22

From 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on September 21, Fenghua Dongmen Square was bustling with people and filled with a warm atmosphere. The large-scale free clinic event "Dedicating Love to Fenghua," organized by the Research Branch of Folk Characteristic Diagnosis and Treatment Technologies of the Zhejiang Provincial Association of Chinese Medicine, led by Ningbo Fenghua Xiabang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (hereinafter referred to as "our hospital"), and co-organized by the Fenghua District Health Promotion Association and the District Social Organization Center, was successfully carried out. Provincial-level TCM experts provided on-site consultations, and free basic health check-ups were offered, delivering "health benefits right at the doorstep" to over 500 residents. The effectiveness of the event was recognized by leaders of the District Health Commission.

As the core organizer of this free clinic, our hospital took on comprehensive coordination responsibilities from the preparation stage. We proactively engaged with the organizers to finalize event details, collaborated with co-organizing units to integrate resources, and successfully invited experts from various fields of TCM across the province to form a diagnosis and treatment team. In line with the daily healthcare needs of the public, the square was strategically divided in advance into diagnosis and treatment zones, TCM characteristic experience zones, basic check-up zones, and health education zones. Clear service processes and staff assignments were established for each area to ensure efficient coordination and smooth operations once the event began.

At the event, long queues formed early in front of the provincial experts' consultation desks. With the seamless support of our hospital's medical team, the experts carefully assessed each attendee's medical history and symptoms through traditional TCM diagnostic methods, including inquiry, pulse-taking, and tongue inspection. They not only provided personalized treatment plans but also patiently shared knowledge on disease prevention and daily health preservation. In the basic check-up zone, our medical staff offered free blood sugar tests, blood pressure measurements, and heart rate checks. Attendees with abnormal results were promptly advised to seek further medical attention, helping them quickly understand their basic health status.

"From expert invitations to on-site services, our hospital's organizational work was thorough and detailed, truly bringing quality medical resources to the public," said a relevant official from the District Health Commission, who praised the event's organization and service quality.

The head of the Research Branch of Folk Characteristic Diagnosis and Treatment Technologies of the Zhejiang Provincial Association of Chinese Medicine stated that the success of this free clinic was made possible by our hospital's professional organizing capabilities. The branch will continue to deepen cooperation with the hospital and plan more public welfare medical activities that meet the needs of the community. The head of our hospital also emphasized that organizing this free clinic was an important reflection of the hospital's commitment to social responsibility. Moving forward, the hospital will use this event as an opportunity to further enhance its TCM services, continuously develop convenient medical service platforms, and contribute more to safeguarding the health of the Fenghua community.
